Another episode of the syndicated 50's sitcom "Life With Elizabeth", starring a young Betty White. "Life With Elizabeth" lasted from 1952 to 1955. Each episode consists of three segments, referred to as "incidents". (the logo of a DVD publisher appears in the corner during the opening and closing. This is not considered to be enough for them to claim copyright on it).

Another episode of that unpopular and unfunny "classic" TV series ''The Betty Hutton Show'', complete with poor script, bad acting, annoying laugh-track and lousy production values. MOST 50s TV SHOWS WERE BETTER THAN THIS GARBAGE!! Please remember that most shows aired in the 1950's were better than this crap. DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS POOP!!

Based loosely on my unpopular "Compilation of Miscellaneous Footage" series of YouTube videos. This 3rd installment includes more classic TV clips, including an unusual and long clip which doesn't fit the expected preconception of 1950s TV. Plus clips from sitcoms, soaps, and 2 classic commercials! With footage from all 4 classic networks!

A classic commercial for Du Mont Laboratories Television Sets. I took this from an episode of "School House" that somebody uploaded. Note: While the TV network can be spelt DuMont , the owner of the Network which produced TV sets is correctly spelt Du Mont , as that was the spelling perferred by the founder of the company.

An episode of "The Steve Allen Show", a variety show aired in prime-time on NBC. This copy is complete with the original commercials. Highlights include Don Adams doing a comedy routine, Errol Flynn doing a parody of "To Tell the Truth" and Martha Raye doing a spoof of "Your Hit Parade". Note: black-and-white copy of color/colour broadcast. Audio sync is imperfect at times.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0032416/ Young Dr. Kildare (Lew Ayres) is still being trained at General Hospital by old, crusty Dr. Gillespie (Lionel Barrymore). This time, he tries to rehabilitate Gregory Lane, a brain surgeon depressed over losing too many patients (and incidentally Kildare's romantic rival for nurse Mary Lamont). Lane's losing streak takes a new turn when one of his patients survives...but seems to be insane. Or is the man's strange obsession with Friday the clue to a mystery?...

Scripted by Hal Block and Martin Ragaway, The Milton Berle Show brought Berle together with Arnold Stang, later a familiar face as Berle's TV sidekick. Others in the cast were Pert Kelton, Mary Schipp, Jack Albertson, Arthur Q. Bryan, Ed Begley, vocalist Dick Forney and announcer Frank Gallop. The Ray Bloch Orchestra provided the music for the series. Sponsored by Philip Morris, it aired on NBC from March 11, 1947, until April 13, 1948. For more Free OTR Radio Shows, click here

DR. KILDARE Dr. Kildare was produced for syndication in 1949 at WMGM , New York. It was based on the popular Dr. Kildare movies of the late 1930's and early 1940's, and brought to the microphone the stars of that series, Lew Ayres and Lionel Barrymore . Ayres played the young, idealistic Dr. James Kildare; Barrymore, ever in character, was the crusty, loveable diagnostician, Dr. Leonard Gillespie. The men worked at Blair General Hospital, "one of the great citadels of American medicine --...

DANGEROUSLY YOURS Dangerously Yours was a half hour show sponsored by Vicks. There were sixteen episodes broadcast in 1944, with eleven of them available to collectors today. Each episode seemed to star Victor Jory as the leading man, and concentrated heavily on romance, with much airtime being devoted to lovers murmuring sweet nothings at each other, and the action and adventure being relegated to backdrop status. At the end of each episode, the announcer would give a very brief teaser for the...

CLAUDIA Claudia , which is perhaps better known as Claudia and David , was an old time radio show based on a series of short stories written by Rose Franken and William Brown Meloney, which appeared in Redbook magazine. The program was a soap opera centered on newlyweds David and Claudia Naughton. It followed the problems and the successes, big and small, of an average newly-married couple, including the need for thrift, having an overhanded mother-in-law, and all those charming little moments...

CASEY, CRIME PHOTOGRAPHER This series went on the air on July 7, 1943 and lasted until April 22, 1955. A total of 431 episodes were broadcast. Casey, Crime Photographer had more history than substance. It was a B-grade radio detective on a par perhaps with The Falcon , better than Mr Keen, Tracer of Lost Persons , but lacking the style and polish of The Adventures of Sam Spade . Originally appearing in the pages of Black Mask , under the watchful eyes of then-editor Joseph Shaw, Flashgun Casey...

ADVENTURES OF PHILIP MARLOWE Elements of mystery have always been represented in literature, but the detective story didn't arrive on the scene until the mid 1800's. Edgar Allan Poe's The Murders in the Rue Morgue, published in 1841, was the first. The Murder's main character, C. Auguste Dupin, was a brilliant detective who relied on superior deductive powers to solve the crime. He and his unnamed narrator companion solved this and two other mysteries. Later in the 19th century Sir Arthur Conan...

A Classic Fifties commercial for a General Electric Dish Washer from circa 1952. It's amazing that General Electric is still going after all these years. Plus, this is a very good 1950's commercial, showing some of the methods of advertising used at the time. I can only hope that General Electric themsleves don't mind me uploading this vintage commercial.

One of the few surviving episodes of the CBS version of "The Goldbergs". In this episode, Cousin Simon has a heart attack and comes to regret being a complete unlikable bastard. This episode was later remade as "Where There's Life, There's Hope" in 1956.

An episode of "What's My Line?", a popular 1950s game show. This episode is hosted by John Daly, with panelists Bennett Cerf, Arlene Francis, Dorothy Kilgallen and Tony Randall. Mystery guests include James C. Petrillo, along with Ernie Kovacs & Edie Adams. This episode is also interesting for being a rare example of a 1950s game show episode with an Asian contestant.

Having been on radio and TV for years, this is the first daytime television episode of "Truth or Consequences", with Bob Barker as host. A great deal of the episode is taken up by Ralph Edwards introducing new host Bob Barker. It takes some time for the actual gameplay to start, so this isn't a representative episode. Still, it may still be of interest. What is the archival status of this series? I would estimate that less than 10% of 1950s network daytime television programming still...

An interesting 1953 episode of Milton Berle's "Texaco Star Theatre" from 1953, with special guest star Gertrude Berg, playing her popular character "Molly Goldberg". Gertrude was in fact the first Jewish actress to have her own popular sitcom. This comedy-variety series aired on NBC Television Network. The picture quality is a little poor, but watchable.
